C20/G20 2023 – Helping to Shape Initiatives for Well-Being
The world is evolving with increased recognition of values such as compassion and self-regulation. This became clear from HeartMath’s recent involvement in a United Nations conference defining new policy and initiatives. Led by Sheva Carr, a virtual team and several delegates attended the C20 event in New Delhi, India to contribute language and policy in several committees. Much of what was written led to the approval of policies by G20 leaders.

Teaching with Heart: Stories from Educators

HeartMath and Mental Health for Teens in Minnesota
For three full days, we welcomed nearly a thousand teenagers from ten local high schools and immersed ourselves in honest conversations and fun activities on mental and emotional well-being. We built upon the power of increasing coherence among family and friends, exploring their intelligent hearts. With the help of a lovable llama, we formed new friendships and embraced a spirit of curiosity and community.

WiseHeart™ for Ages 7-10
After 3 years of creativity, collaboration and steady focus, we are excited to launch the new WiseHeart program. Loaded with skills and daily practices, students will develop emotional regulation skills and healthy lifestyle habits—two core aptitudes that foster greater resilience, and healthier relationships and compassion for others. Multidimensional in its delivery, this online program for schools, homes, and youth groups should keep participants engaged and wanting to learn more.

Students’ HRV and Self-Regulation Skills
A 2020 study at an elementary school in Canada reported that regular practice of the Heart Lock-In® Technique resulted in students’ increased positive feelings about themselves and improved emotional stability and relationships. Practicing this technique also helped students to better manage conflicts, focus better, and improve their overall performance.
